By information of Yale University Press Portal (YaleNews) at october 14 external link Yale University is developing a Point-Of-Care (POC) MRI scanner. The device, called the “Portable POC MRI” was developed by Hyperfine Research Inc. ( external link ), which is part of a medical incubator 4Catalyzer( external link ). Currently, due to strong magnetic fields, such scanners can only be used in safe places. A new approach can bring portable MRI to the patient! At the end of the main page of external link you can see the slogan " MRI ANYTIME, ANYWHERE, FOR ANYONE" followed by " Coming soon ..." Its just a ray communism! The work involves doctors from Yale New Haven Hospital, who will test the new device on their patients and compare the results obtained with it with those obtained with classical MRI and CT. This work is supported by a grant from the American Association of Cardiology, and preliminary research results will be announced in early 2020. |
