    A 9-year-old child was urgently sent for an ultrasound scan in the public clinic with complaints of abdominal pain for 3 days and suspected bowel disorder.

    On ultrasound, the liver is slightly enlarged, in the right iliac region / hypogastrium a tubular structure up to 16 mm in diameter is visualized, surrounded by echogenic tissues (acute appendicitis, omentitis / periappendicular infiltrate). Near a small amount of free fluid, the ileum with a thickened wall without content.
