  Hydrothorax
#1

A 3-year-old child in the public clinic with subfebrile condition for several days of unclear etiology, with a suspicion of UTI, was referred by a pediatrician for ultrasound of the kidneys and for a consultation of the nephrologist.

Ultrasound showed a slightly pronounced starry sky sign in the UB (suspension - mucus, salts, etc.).

In the left supradiaphragmatic space, a free fluid of an inhomogeneous structure was visualized (suspension / differential diagnosis: hydrothorax, etc.).

Recommended: chest x-ray and consultation of the pulmonologist.
