Newborn, syndromic, previously had brain CT where diagnosed PVL (periventricular leukomalacia). Visually predominance of facial part of the skull vs the brain part, head shape looks as " pear" . On ultrasound most of the cerebral hemispheres represented as anechoic cavities with some partitions (encephalomalacia), also present a moderate expansion of the lateral ventricles. external link |
