  Hyperechoic segment of the kidney
#1

A 8-year-old child was sent for a follow-up ultrasound of the kidneys to the public clinic, with a history of surgery for hydronephrosis of the right kidney / block with a ureteral stone.

In the upper pole of the right kidney, a hyperechoic area of the parenchyma shape of a segment with an uneven contour is visualized, on the CFM with blood flow, up to about 16 x 12 x 13 mm in size (differential diagnosis: hemangioma / angiomyolipoma, area of sclerosis, focal nephritis, focus of cystic dysplasia, etc.).

A consultation with an urologist/nephrologist and MRI was recommended.
