A 14-year-old teenager at the Children's City Clinical Hospital with a diagnosis of a kidney cyst, was sent for a follow-up ultrasound of the kidneys for the assessment of residual cavity of the right kidney cyst after removal of the drainage, before discharge from hospital, as far as I understood, the cyst was treated by washing the cyst cavity with an alcohol.
On ultrasound, a cyst of the indicated kidney with linear hyperechoic structures, presumably air. A close examination of the contralateral kidney, view from the back, in the projection of its upper pole, also visualizes a cyst-like lesion.
