    The child's mother told me that she too has a thyroid nodule on ultrasound, I decided to look.

    At US in the posterior areas of the thyroid there are nodules, one on each side: posterior to the left lobe heteroechoic and to the right lobe isoechoic (parathyroid adenomas?)
