A 1-year-old child came to the public clinic for follow-up ultrasound; previous ultrasound revealed hypoplasia of the dystopic left kidney.
On ultrasound, the right kidney is located typically, the left dystopic kidney is located lower than usual, partially above the spine, has an abnormal shape, resembles the letter L in shape, which probably was a reason for the underestimation of the long size of the kidney on the previous ultrasound, the pelvis is visualized anteriorly, up to 1 cm in diameter.
