Urachal sinus

    Newborn with complaint about fluid leakage from enlarged and coloured umbilicus was addressed to ultrasound.

    At ultrasound from umbilicus to bladder going a tubular anechoic heterogenous structure. No communication of this structure with bladder was visualized - urachus anomaly(urachal sinus).

    Urachus is an embryological structure that should disappear prenatally. If it still exists after birth then often suppurate.
