  It's complicated
#1

A child of 8 years old some time ago treated conservatively (antibiotics) from periappendicular infiltrate, was made a laparoscopy but the appendix is not removed, was placed a drainage ...

At present time with suspicion of an abscess of the abdominal cavity and the anterior abdominal wall is directed to an ultrasound.

At the US in the right iliac region visualized heteroechoic lesion, mostly anechoic, with fuzzy rough margin, size about of 4x2 cm (abscess?), surrounded by a hyperechoic tissue (omentum) and bowel loops, at CFM in the tissues increased blood flow. From the lateral margin of the infiltration through the soft tissue of the anterior abdominal wall start a fistula channel with an/hypoechoic content (pus?) at a depth of about 10 mm in diameter and at surface of about 5 mm, the total length of the fistula about 5 cm, the wall of fistula is thick, at CFM with increased blood flow.
