  Cystic dysplasia, hematuria
#1

An infant in the Children's Clinical City Hospital with a single functioning kidney, according to the attending physician, was sent for an ultrasound with suspicion of pyelonephritis due to hematuria.

On ultrasound, a non-functioning kidney is represented by a group of cysts (diff. diagnosis: cystic dysplasia, etc.), a functioning kidney with echopositive inclusion in the projection of the renal pelvis (diff. diagnosis: hemorrhagic clot, sludge, etc.).
