    A child of 11 years old from the surgical department of the Children's City Clinical Hospital with a clinical diagnosis of appendicitis. Sent urgently for an ultrasound scan.

    On ultrasound in the right iliac region, a tubular structure 7-8 mm in diameter is visualized, with a wall thickened up to 3 mm, with a pronounced increase in blood flow at CFM, not compressed when compressed by probe, the patient notes pain during compression (acute appendicitis), near a small amount of free fluid and hyperechoic fat (omentitis).

    In the area where the appendix beginning from the cecum, increased blood flow is also visualized at CFM (typhlitis).
