  Typhlitis, mesenteric adenitis ...
#1

A 6-year-old child with a clinical diagnosis of appendicitis from the surgical department of the Children's City Clinical Hospital. An ultrasound scan was prescribed.

On ultrasound in the right mesogastrium, more than 3 hypoechoic lesions are visualized, the largest up to 3 cm in length, on the CFM with a pronounced increase of blood flow (differential diagnosis: mesenteric adenitis, lymphadenopathy, etc.).

In the right iliac region, a section of the intestine with a thickened wall up to 8 mm is visualized, on the CFM with a pronounced increase of blood flow (differential diagnosis: typhlitis / enterocolitis, Crohn's disease, etc.)

Also, in the right iliac region, a tubular structure up to 4-5 mm in diameter is visualized, compressed in some places, no painful reaction was obtained during compression (differential diagnosis: normal appendix, etc.)
