Testicle in the anterior abdominal wall
#1

8 y.o. child from another region, with pain in the right iliac region, with suspicion of appendicitis, was sent for ultrasound of the abdomen, ultrasound revealed signs of appendicular infiltration (appendicitis, omentitis). The parent offered his version of what was happening, suggested the connection of the pain syndrome with the fact that once, according to him, the child's testicle was out of place.

After talking with the surgeon on this topic, he was sent again for an ultrasound scan of the groin, to look for a testicle missing from the scrotum, suspected of torsion.

On ultrasound, there is one testicle in the scrotum, on the border of the left groin region and the anterior abdominal wall, a canal is visualized extending from the region of the left inner inguinal ring and going up above the level of the rectus abdominis muscle, inside of it there is an oval structure with a middle echo blood flow in both testicles. According to the results of the ultrasound, the surgeon suggested that the child had once undergone the first stage of the operation for descending of the ectopic testicle.
