A child of 8 years old with suspected appendicitis was admitted to child hospital ED, the previous ultrasound revealed an intestinal intussusception with the target sign, after which the child was given an enema, abdomen X-ray and an ultrasound control was assigned.
On ultrasound there is a target sign in the right iliac region but when the US probe was moved to the right lateral canal, it turned out that now intussusception takes up almost two thirds of it.
Un niño de 8 años con sospecha de apendicitis ingresó en el Departamento de Emergencia del hospital infantil, la ecografía previa reveló una invaginación intestinal con el signo de blanco "target", luego de lo cual se le aplicó un enema, radiografía de abdomen y se le asignó un control ecográfico.
En la ecografía hay un signo de blanco "target" en la región ilíaca derecha, pero cuando la sonda de ecografía se movió hacia el canal lateral derecho, resultó que ahora la invaginación intestinal ocupa casi dos tercios del canal lateral derecho.
