Infant hospitalized with scrotum swelling syndrome urgently sent for an ultrasound. At ultrasound in the right hemiscrotum about 5ml of an-/ hypoechoic content around testicle, in the upper third of the scrotum and full lenght of inguinal canal intestinal loops without peristalsis - presumably strangulated inguino-scrotal hernia. Intraoperative revision - in the scrotum: blood, intestinal loops with wide area of intestinal wall hematoma, resection of the damaged intestine accomplished. external link |
